For I Hear the Sound of Abundance of Rain

The Bible tells us that the Lord “bears witness” to His word through various signs and spiritual wonders. This is done to mobilize our faith and position us for fruitfulness.

Many prophetic indications or signs presently affirm that we are entering a restoration season involving ministry gifts and commissions introduced in the Latter Rain healing revival of the 40’s and 50’s. One of those signs was a profound experience Paul Keith Davis had several years ago. In it the Lord revealed that the passing of Pope John Paul II would be a signpost of this restoration.

A few days prior to the Pope’s death, there was another notable “sign” in the Spokane/Coeur d’Alene area. While in Spokane, Washington seven years ago Bob Jones prophesied that the church would experience a seven year spiritual drought beginning the weekend of March 27-28, 1998. Coeur d’Alene, Idaho borders Spokane.

On March 29, 2005, the front page of the Coeur d’Alene Press contained an article entitled “Drought washed away by the rain.” Meteorologist Cliff Harris was quoted as saying “It’s one of the strangest years I’ve ever seen. We’re in the midst of a major change here. North Idaho went from having the driest mid-January to mid-March period on record to the wettest two-day period ever in March last weekend.”

Those “wettest” days were March 27 and 28 (Easter weekend), the exact days that Bob was in the area and prophesied the drought seven years prior!

On the weekend of April 15, 2005 our ministry hosted a “Takin’ It to the Streets” Healing Conference with Bill and Carol Dew. We emphasized Bob Jones’ word given seven years prior and prophetically declared that it is time for the abundance of rain. Some felt rain falling on them at different times during the meetings. There have been many testimonies of healings that took place during this conference.

We also received an amazing “token” that God was bringing the revelatory gifts together with the healing gifts. This combination was characterized in William Branham and Paul Cain’s Latter Rain healing ministries. Throughout the 40’s/50’s the Lord used them powerfully to disclose individuals’ secret information known only by God to elevate faith to receive from God their miraculous healing. The Lord Jesus demonstrated this model Himself in John 4 with the woman at the well.

In our meeting, Bill and Carol Dew directed us to spend time in prayer before going out on the streets. John Filler, a member of the apostolic team at The Gateway Christian Fellowship, was given a vision during this time. He saw a white bearded man in a wheelchair. He also saw a picture of an American flag. The Lord gave him additional information about the man, including the fact that he was a military veteran and would be seated outside a specific store in the Spokane Valley Mall.

Upon arriving at the mall, the man in the vision was outside that store in a wheelchair. The man’s wife was wearing a sweatshirt with an American flag. John’s wife, Ruth, was with him. Upon engaging the couple in conversation, they discovered the man in the wheelchair and his wife were also named John and Ruth! John prayed for the man and, although he didn’t get out of the wheelchair, he was visibly touched by the Lord.

Bob Jones and Paul Keith Davis’ Shepherd’s Rod prophecy of 1998 stated there was a spiritual rain coming. Bob saw the Lord working on a large orange pickup truck from the 1950’s that was disabled and unable to function since the Latter Rain revival. Though men had attempted to repair this vehicle, they were unable to do so.

The Lord indicated that only He was able to jump-start this truck and put it on the road again. The vehicle had broken down because of unbelief and fanaticism. The Lord wants to repair this vehicle and reinstitute the heavenly purposes that were begun in the 50’s and “pick up” where they left off.

I believe NOW is the time for this revelation to be fulfilled. Isaiah 35 says that “The desert and the parched land will be glad…then will the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped. Then will the lame leap like a deer, and mute tongue shout for joy! Water will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert.”

Bob Jones will be coming to Spokane June 9-11 to decree the end of the spiritual drought. This will take place at the Elijah House conference where many prophets are coming together for a prophetic symposium and to proclaim what God is saying in this hour.
