I Sleep, but My Heart is Awake

To believe or not to believe, that is the question. It is even the question from the Lord to us in this day of His release upon the earth. Are we going to believe that His Word is true, living and breathing in us and through us – even all around us? Are we going to believe – I mean REALLY BELIEVE – that He means to use us as He pours out in an unprecedented way?

We are invited to be ones who will be the forerunners of such faith that has not been seen. Not in what we have known in the past and been held captive by, but in what is yet to come – the hope of our calling! To be those Sons of God creation groans for!

“But the time is coming when) the earth shall be FILLED with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea!“ Habakkuk 2:14

That time is now! It must be as we are in the final days of the separation between heaven and earth. We just need to tap into the Eternal Truth of it, which overrides the limitations of our present mindset. The Truth WILL set us free!!! Free of the mind of man and our patterns of thought that deny the very power of the One who lives in us!

“…….Christ in you, the hope of glory!“ Col. 1:27

The Spirit is releasing grace to ‘awaken‘ our hearts to that place of abiding in faith. To a mentality of believing the very Word of God in such a way that things which have never taken place in the history of mankind —- WILL!! Yes – even through you and me! We, who, up to this point, have struggled to keep your head above water in the living of this life, constrained by the limits of your thinking. The threshold of faith – belief in the borderless boundaries of God – stand before us!

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my My Voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. ‘ He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’ “Rev. 3:20-22

To cross that threshold we must open that door He is so faithfully knocking on and look what He promises! “ I will come IN TO him…..”! He will step into us with that Light that overcomes any darkness – that Light that overtakes us and causes us to BECOME that Light, to become overcomers of the limitations of our past patterns that we can’t seem to free ourselves of.

And, no, we cannot free ourselves from ourselves! Only by the washing of the Word can our minds be renewed! Only by being overcome can we overcome. Only by dying can we be made free of death. Only by laying down can we stand………dying daily to our past patterns, taking up our cross and following Him. I think we miss an interpretation of that. To take up our cross daily means to die to our SELVES, to die to our own way of thinking and doing things. If we are to follow Him by taking up our cross, it will lead us to, as it did Him, to overcoming the limitations of this world and entering into the resurrection power of the age to come. We can, in faith believing, enter into the dispensation of the eternal NOW! We MUST if we are to awaken the dawn…….

“AWAKE, my glory! AWAKE, lute and harp! I will awaken the dawn.“ Ps. 57:8 As the Sons of God, it is our duty, our privilege, our honor to awaken the dawning of this Kingdom age that is upon us.

Let faith lead us out of this captivity that keeps us from TRULY believing how God wants to move in us and through us as we enter into the fullness of Him. He didn’t sacrifice all that He did so that we could continue to live lives bound by unbelief and our own self-inflicted limitations!

As for me, I will see Your face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied when I awake in Your likeness. Ps. 17:15

I LOVE what David has said here, even though he probably didn’t realize thefullness of what he was saying. We must awaken to the Truth that we ARE made in His likeness, His image created to move in His unlimited resource and power. If He has saved you to be born in this hour, then He has the desire and the ability to move through you as one who has been awakened, not only in heart, but in spirit, mind and body. The fullness of God in the fullness of time, moving through YOU! There is a dying world out there, lost in the bondage of what is deceptively presented as freedom.

And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works
of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Rom. 13:11-12

We must, as Paul has stated, Awaken and put on the Lord Jesus Christ. It is about a transformation.

” But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” 2 Cor. 3:18

I looked up transform in the dictionary :
1) to change people or things completely, especially improving their appearance or usefulness
2) to change completely for the better
3) to convert one form of energy to another

We can’t afford to sleep any longer in our places of comfort. We can be awakened to the sound of His Voice and play this out on the offensive or we can be awakened by the thrust of the sword that has caught us in our slumber and end up on the defensive. Be awakened to the transformation that must take place in us as we truly put on the Lord, Jesus Christ!
